About Rosaria

I LOVE REAL ESTATE! HOME-LOVING I am a New Yorker, through and through. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY I have been educated in NY Schools from grade school through my Graduate degree. My parents were property owners and landlords since I was 5 years old. I worked in Manhattan for many years and lived in Brooklyn and then on Long Island. I lived in Brooklyn for the first 32 years of my life, but my parents owned two houses out east and retired there in the 90’s. My mom now lived in a house in Huntington Station that I found for her and is now at a beautiful Assisted Living in East Northport. I have family that lives in Huntington and all over Long Island as well. I’ve rented houses in the Hamptons, and on Montauk. I lived in and owned my own home in Rockville Centre and am now a resident, homeowner and landlord in Huntington. NATURE-LOVING I love Long Island because the conveniences of New York living are coupled with all the beauty nature can supply especially in the summer. Long Island beaches are still my favorites and you can drive in any direction on Long Island and be able to walk on a beach or just enjoy the salt air and the scenery. We enjoy numerous State parks and even a National Park. I love fishing and there is no where better to fish than on Long Island. If shellfish is your thing, then head to the South Shore for crabs, clams and to the North shore for oysters and lobsters. I was an avid cyclist and did many tours by bicycle in Brooklyn, Manhattan and every summer on Long Island. My greatest accomplishment was 100 miles in one day from Hampton Bays to Montauk Point and back! A ferry ride is all it takes to tour Shelter Island or Fire Island by bicycle. The fairly flat terrain of most of the island lends itself to touring by bicycle. DOG-LOVING Our dogs are an important part of our family. There are numerous, spacious dog runs and parks where dogs are welcome and I have loved raising my puppies on Long Island. Not more than 1 ½ miles from my home is a property that was once a farm. Called the Froelich Farm Nature Preserve, the residents, along with the town of Huntington, created a series of walking paths through organic gardens and vegetation indigenous to Long Island. All the gardens and the upkeep of this property are done by retirees in the community as part of a stewardship. Fruits and vegetables grown there are donated to local food pantries. Dogs are always welcome there! COOK Cooking is my passion and I enjoy cooking and eating many types of cuisines. With the diversity in NY and now on Long Island, we have any cuisine you could ask for as well as specialty markets and stores for all products. EDUCATOR My son, my nieces and nephews were all educated in Long Island Schools. Our programs are varied, and because Music is another passion of mine, I’m happy to say my son took full advantage of the wonderful music programs our Long Island schools offer. I volunteered for 5 years as the President of the Orchestra Parents Association responsible for all fundraising at Huntington HS Music Events. The money raised helped supplement our budget for instrument upkeep and special events for our students, and we even gave out grants to students for private lessons in the summer months to continue their music education. I have 3 certifications from the State of New York and am a NYS High School Spanish teacher and hold 2 certifications as a Reading Diagnostics and Literacy Instructor for ages birth to 12th grade. I taught for 5 years on Long Island, in both a highly-respected Parochial School and a blue ribbon Public School. Because I studied language in college, I am extremely literate in English and quite fluent in Spanish. I can understand Italian and am working on becoming more fluent in the language of my heritage. My parents spoke a dialect at home which I fully understand and I studied Italian for one year in college. Lacrosse is a family sport and afforded my son a scholarship to a Division 1 school where he earned his Mechanical Engineering Degree. This was particularly important to me a single mom. Many colleges are interested in recruiting Long Island students for their programs, especially for Lacrosse. There are town leagues, private leagues and my son and I enjoyed our time together in summer travel leagues. I love looking at homes, reading about the latest design trends, learning about the new technologies available for greener, more efficient use of our resources and have helped quite a few people in my lifetime look for their ideal home. FINANCIALLY SAVVY My area of expertise was in the field of Investment Banking, and I also have experience in sales as a mutual funds broker and a mortgage loan originator. I worked my way up from administrative staff to VP and then to consultant in the area of investment operations. I approach all my work with an intense desire to get it right, to always deliver on time and to learn something new from every experience. For me, being a Sales Associate is an exciting marriage of my love of New York, Long Island and its residences and amenities, and being able to use my expertise to help people find the right home for their needs and budget. The roof over our heads is one of the single most important items we will buy. I consider it a privilege to be able to assist my customers in this endeavor. Selling your home is an emotional experience and the utmost care should be placed on the importance of a homeowner’s separation from their home while helping them realize what they expect to earn from their investment and moving on to that next residence. My customers know that I am knowledgeable, persistent and always available. No phone call, text or email ever goes unanswered. Their needs are my first priority. Educating my customers through the process enables us all to transition as smoothly as possible to the closing table. A real estate mentor of mine has this posted on the wall and it is as true today as it ever was: “Don’t wait to buy real estate! Buy real estate and wait!” Let me help you find your first or your next most beneficial asset.
